About
I'm a product engineer who started out in design, and I still sketch before I code. For the last four years I've built the trip planner at Fernway, from the first prototype to an app that 400,000 travelers open every month. I care about fast pages, plain words and interfaces that work for everyone, including people using a screen reader or a slow phone on a train. Outside work I mentor new developers and teach a weekend web class at the library.

Maya is the engineer people ask when something has to be both fast and kind to use. She rebuilt our editor without a single day of downtime and taught the whole team how to test with a screen reader.
